Law and Order
The judicial system in Albion-Normandy is a hybrid practice of both English common and French civil. The legal system is based on the notions that one is innocent until proven guilty and that justice is blind, this ensures that the rule of law is not applied arbitrarily, without cause and ill thought. The cases are officially heard in court houses that are presided over by a justice of the peace. It is the right for all parties involved to have legal representation, whether it be private or through legal aide. The courts are stratified into 3 levels; district, realm and federal. All of which are responsible for cases in their own jurisdiction and who's law and regulations are slightly altered to relate to the culture of the region. All justice of the peace use the style The Honour but it is only the justices of Supreme Court of jutice that use The Right Honourable Lord/Lady.
