The Churches
The Albion-Normandy Empire recognizes two state churches. The Anglican Church of Albion and Catholic Church of Normandy are the states churches. The government makes an effort to consult both churches when conducting government business and gives the churches a formal place in the policy making process. Currently, the churches are involved in government business though seats in the House of Peers. By tradition, the Archbishop of the Anglican Church and the Catholic Church maintain a seat in the house as well as the 5 bishops from each church. the bishops are appointed by the sovereign on the advice of the Archbishops.
